TRIBUS was founded in 2009 as an alternative to the traditional real estate brokerage technology company

Besides being a group of hardworking professionals who genuinely care about what we do, TRIBUS is full of people with a background in real estate, placing us in a unique position to know exactly where our clients are coming and what their needs are. From our senior management to our Client Care, development and marketing teams, we have many years’ worth of experience in real estate backing up our technological expertise.

Eric Stegemann | CEO & Director of Strategy

Eric Stegemann brings years of experience and expertise to his role as Director of Strategy for TRIBUS. Having become a REALTOR before reaching the age of 20, Eric grew passionate about an industry where responsibility and hard work were rewarded.  While loving his days selling real estate, he knew there was a larger opportunity to build a technology-oriented brokerage. In 2004, he created River City Real Estate, which quickly became the largest independent brokerage in the St. Louis area. There he oversaw the development of numerous real estate technology breakthroughs that were well ahead of their time. The intellectual property developed at the company eventually became the framework for a new technology firm: TRIBUS. Formed in 2009, TRIBUS brings forward-thinking technology solutions for medium- and large-sized real estate brokerages across the U.S. and Canada.

Eric is regarded as one of the brightest minds in the real estate technology realm and has spoken at a variety of real estate events, such as Inman Connect in New York and San Francisco, the NAR Annual conference, and numerous state and local board meetings.


Katie Ragusa | VP of Product

Real estate is in Katie’s blood. She’s a second generation REALTOR and comes to TRIBUS after working for a prominent custom home builder in metro Atlanta, GA. While selling homes, she realized she had a passion for helping agents establish a meaningful web presence and a build CRM that worked. Since then she’s become a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and graduated from a UX program, all while staying grounded in real estate technology.

Her background in the industry and her training in psychology have paved the way for her current user experience focused role, where she leads the product team at TRIBUS.



Jeff Harris | VP of Business Development

Jeff has spent his entire career in and around real estate. He began his career practicing law as a CPA/JD specializing in real estate transactions. He next served as general counsel/broker at a real estate auction firm, where he marketed and sold virtually every type of real estate, from unique residential homes to home lots, new construction closeouts to retail, commercial and industrial properties.

Jeff next helped launch bid4real, a venture-capital backed online real estate auction platform that were licensed by the ‘Chicago Tribune,’ among others. Remaining at the intersection of real estate and the Internet, Jeff was Vice President of Business Development at online new homes broker iNest (acquired by LendingTree), real estate portal RealEstate.com, and VHT, the nation’s largest real estate photography provider.

Most recently Jeff held two newly created positions at Matterport, the 3D media technology and software company, first as Vice President of Sales and Business Development, and then Vice President of Enterprise Sales.

Now Jeff is managing TRIBUS’ Chicago office and overseeing their sales, marketing and customer care teams.
