Take a look at the call to action on your website.
Do you have a phone number at the top of every page? Do you have a “Contact Me” page easily found in your navigation? Do you have forms scattered througout your site requesting people to register or get more information?
Over the past few months of attending REBarCamps I’ve been programming a concept called “Extreme Blog Makeover.” Basically a review of 1 person’s site for SEO, content, and call to action. By tearing apart their site, hopefully everyone can learn from the experience. However, there has been a singular theme I’ve noticed at every event I’ve spoken at and every session I’ve facilitated…. The problem is that often the call to action is completely forgotten. Or worst of all agents know they need it but their website vendor doesn’t have the capabilities to add these important aspects into the system.
Why spend time running an IDX based website or writing quality blog content if you don’t have a call to action on the site? Notice that even on the Tribus website, every single page has a “Have a Representative Contact You” as well as a click to call button enabled. We want to make it easy for those that want more information to get ahold of us.
Make sure your users know how to get ahold of you. Make it so easy for them to see they can’t possible miss it. If possible build the call to action into your listing pages. For example, on every IDX info page in our brokerage website solution there are at least 4 calls to action for getting more information, scheduling a showing or registering for the site to save listings.
Don’t delay in adding this, put it on your site today!
