apps for on the go businessApps make life easier for people who are constantly on-the-go. Two apps that are especially helpful for real estate agents are Docusign and CamScanner.

How does Docusign work?

The app is available for iOS, Android and Windows. It is free with in-app upgrades for those with higher demands. A document can be uploaded directly from Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, Evernote, Egnyte or Salesforce and loaded into Docusign. You can even take a photo of the document as a source of uploading it.

Adding a signature isn’t the only feature available to edit a document. Initials, a print version of your name and a signed date can all be added to the page. There is also the option of adding a text box or adding a check mark to a prefer area. Once your document is filled out it can be emailed or shared via Google Drive and more. Information in your account can be synced and made available on all of your mobile devices. Want to learn more? The website, also has great how-to videos.

My Experience with Docusign

I used it for the first time a few years ago while working on a short film. I had to sign an agreement to employ an actor, and I had to sign the agreement that day. The agent just got back from vacation and didn’t see the contract or my emails and she needed me to come downtown last minute to sign the document. She had a deadline to submit the contract and I had to suffer due to her lack of attention, I digress. I didn’t want to travel all the way downtown to throw my signature on a piece of paper, what a waste of an hour.

Lucky for me the other producer on the film knew about Docusign. I downloaded the app then had the agent send me a PDF of the contract. I opened the PDF in Docusign created a signature and applied it to the document and emailed it back in minutes.

How does CamScanner work?

The app is available for iOS, Android and Windows. This is another free app that can include additional features at an added cost. CamScanner uses your phone or tablet’s camera to “scan” a document into your phone. Once you’ve taken a photo of, or scanned, the document, it is converted to a PDF file. There is an editor that allows you to enhance the color, change the contrast and brightness and rotate the image. Once your document has been edited it can be printed with AirPrint, emailed, faxed or uploaded to Google Drive, Box, Dropbox or Evernote. Information in your account can be synced and made available on all of your mobile devices.

My Experience with CamScanner

A friend of mine is a composer and he likes to share his work with me, hopefully not for input because he is a far better musician than I am. There are countless times he will send me a message about a piece he’s working on and tell me I need to see. I found that some composers are particularly into how a piece of music can look on paper. I will admit it can be fascinating!

Marketing Coordinator

Erin fell in love with marketing after a marketing internship she took on a whim, after undergrad. She took that passion for marketing and used it to obtain an MBA in the field. She feels fortunate that TRIBUS has given her the opportunity to explore her interest and creativity, not long after she had received her degree. Erin has learned so much during her time at TRIBUS as she has watched certain marketing and branding projects come to life. She's excited to watch the continued growth of the new TRIBUS brand.
