Introduction to Trulia

For this post we had the pleasure of sitting down with Trulia’s own Charis Moreno, senior manager of strategic partnerships. She was kind enough to walk us through the many reasons for agents to get online and set up their personal profile on Trulia.

Everything that’s discussed here can be utilized within the basic (free) Trulia profile. Of course you can always upgrade, but today we will illustrate for you how to maximize your consumer reach with their no-cost option.

First, the Tribus team got to ask Charis what we’ve been wondering about Trulia and how it works exactly. We will discuss the many ways this page can impact you as an agent and how you can make this into a real asset.

That last bullet point above could be the single most important of all! Basically, most often links are what we call “Follow”. Meaning, when you place lots of these follow links on your website, you are in effect influencing how accurate Search Engines value your site. The more follow links you’ve got- the more they believe you to look like SPAM. Trulia’s links are “Nofollow”  meaning you can rest assured that placing these links on your site won’t have the negative affects that follow links bring.

The best part is that you can incorporate your profile and activity from your Trulia page directly onto your own website. This is a must watch series with some great info for our Agents and Brokers.
